Recent rains and stormy conditions have seen the River change rapidly, running high and coloured then almost a quickly returning to a fishable condition. Most of the trees have lost their leaves and all of the bank/ground vegetation has died back. it is at times like these that you can quite easily spot the tracks of the local wild life in muddy places – it is amazing what is about.
If you are fishing and especially if you are wading do take care: you always fish at your own risk: it is always better to be safe than sorry. One thing many do not realise is how quickly you can become so cold that you are not fishing well so it is always a good idea to take a break and have a warm drink: a small flask is always a good idea.
The details of our last Work Party of the year are below: can I thank any and every member who has attended one of these. Your help is much appreciated and ensures we can manage and maintain the River so we may enjoy challenging fishing. If you see anything that we need to know about and can be addressed by a Work Party then please let us know via the Website. I intend to fish in the few days between Christmas and New Year: I always find this a good time – why – I’m not sure but it is! Tight Lines
